Samantha + Juan’s Colorado wedding was absolutely stunning! Black Stone Rivers Ranch was the perfect spot for them to celebrate their love.
This wedding was beautiful and so much fun! Samantha is actually my husband’s cousin so it made it so special to know a lot of the bridal party and the guests. This whole day was filled with so much faith, and it was so evident how much these two love the Lord.
I also loved the unique touches to the day. Instead of a typical cake cutting, they put on their aprons and did a pizza cutting which was so cute! They were also super intentional and made sure their whole bridal party and the vendors all had a Starbucks to get some extra energy for the day.
This venue had such a nice open layout and I loved how easy it was for Samantha and Juan to walk around and spend time with their guests, which was really important to them. And we happened to get the most beautiful weather, which was such a blessing!
Overall, it was an incredible day and I was so thankful I got the opportunity to capture these two!
There are so many incredible wedding venues in Colorado, because it is such a scenic place and the backdrops for photos are unbeatable! And unless you’re a local, you may be searching for small venues that are perfect for a destination wedding.
A small and more intimate venue is perfect for a destination wedding, and there are a lot to choose from in Colorado! Here are just a few options.
Blackstone River Ranch is where Samantha & Juan’s wedding was hosted and it was stunning! It’s a riverfront mountain venue, that is just a quick drive from Denver. I loved how the layout made it such a perfect place for the bride and groom to mingle with the guests and fully enjoy the space.
There is a covered patio that you can seat up your reception under, and the ceremony spot under the trees really gives you the mountain vibe that you’re probably wanting in Colorado. There are a lot of different beautiful photo locations so you can have unique backdrops for family photos, wedding party photos and of course just the two of you.
It really is an unbeatable spot and perfect for a small Colorado wedding!
Sapphire Point Overlook is a very popular and stunning venue in Colorado! It’s a short drive from Breckenridge and it sits on the top of a mountain that overlooks beautiful Dillon Resevoir.
Because it is such a sought after location for weddings in Colorado, you definitely need to plan ahead! It’s especially busy in summer and fall months, so just keep that in mind when you are planning. You should also keep in mind that this is a public trail, so just remember that there may be other people walking around during this time.
But it can definitely be worth it for such a beautiful location!
This unique venue, Realm, is just north of downtown Denver and is a great option year round here in Colorado! Because it’s indoors, with the option of an outdoor venue, this is perfect if you’re wanting a winter wedding or just a backup plan in case of rain.
This venue has some incredible architectural features like a bright white cyc wall in the corner, or a wall lined with large windows to bring in all the natural light. It has such a modern yet industrial feel and has a lot of potential to transform to your vision.
It comes with beautiful vintage lounge furniture that youc an use for your day and is stunning for photos. To also simplify your day, they include a in-house movable bar to give you that option to move the bar depending on the parts of the day.
There is a sun room that typically houses the movable bar, an outdoor patio if you want to enjoy nice weather, and an upstairs loft that you can use for getting ready in. It’s a venue that really includes all that you need!
If you’re wanting more of a city venue with access to a lot of hotels and restaurants in the area, this is a perfect choice!
Flagstaff House is a cute restaurant nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and is a 10 minute drive from downtown Boulder. It has a deck that overlooks the mountains and it’s absolutely beautiful!
The view from this deck is unbeatable and it makes it the perfect spot for a ceremony! But it’s not just the beauty of the venue that makes it a great option, it’s also the delicious food. They have a renowned menu that uses local ingredients and an award-winning wine list. This is perfect to have one less thing to worry about for your wedding day!
Bread Bar is a beautiful mountain venue in Colorado that gives you the mountain scenery that you want in this area, but is less busy and more intimate. It’s 45 minutes from Denver in a ghost town, and has such a unique historical building.
It’s a great venue if you want to do more DIY and add more to make it your own. You would be bringing in chairs, tents, and food. You also have an option to do your ceremony at the old church that is down the street, and there is an AirBnB attached to Bread Bar that you can rent out.
This could be a great option if you want to do an elopement close-by, but celebrate here with family and friends afterwards. The opportunities are pretty endless with this venue!
If you know anything about Colorado, then you know about Maroon Bells! And it is an unbeatable spot for a small wedding or elopement. Since it is right outside of Aspen, you get the beautiful views of Elk Mountain Range.
If you want views that are breath-taking for your ceremony, youc an reserve the ampitheater! It’s more secluded and private and has benches for your guests and a platform for you and your partner. It’s especially beautiful in the fall!
Just remember that this is a spot that is very popular so keep the crowds in mind! You have to book far in advance and remember that parking would be a bit tricky. Summers are especially busy and hard to book, especially on weekends. So just a few things to keep in mind, but this really is an incredible spot!
The Little Nell sits high up in the mountains in Aspen and has the most stunning deck for weddings! It is actually a ski-in and ski-out luxury hotel with 5 stars, so it’s a pretty one-of-a-kind wedding venue.
The wedding deck is accessible by gondola during the summer and fall, and it gives the venue such a fun and adventurous feel. It’s a very upscale venue, so if you’re looking for more of a luxury feel for your day, this is a great option.
It can actually accommodate up to 250 people, but it also offers smaller ceremony-only options for a smaller group. It’s a pretty unbeatable venue here in Colorado!
